Leadership and Supervision Certificate Program at Olympic College Slated for Summer 2011

Beginning Summer Quarter 2011, Olympic College will offer a Leadership and Supervision Certificate Program. Those wishing to change careers, enhance employment standing, strengthen their job marketability, or would like short-term training and education should enroll in the Leadership and Supervision certificate program. This certificate program is designed to build an understanding of leadership theory and practice expressed through the work of organizational supervision.

Organizations seek supervisors who are knowledgeable, professional, and understand of how to get the most out of others. Supervisors who add value to organizations possess strong people skills, an understanding of performance and healthy accountability, work well in teams, and practice personal stewardship and self-care.

Students will learn the following:

  • Leadership theory in particular as it relates to supervision
  • Supervisory foundations and best practices
  • Leadership and ethics
  • Strengths and supervision.

All courses for the Leadership and Supervision certificate program will be taught online – perfect for student’s busy schedules. It can be completed in less than three quarters. This 18 credit certificate program does not have any prerequisites. Students will earn a Certificate of Recognition upon successful completion of this program.

The 2011 Summer Quarter begins Tuesday, July 5th at Olympic College. Students may register for this certificate program starting June 3rd for new students and May 23rd for continuing and former students.
