Olympic College Automotive Technology program to host community celebration on May 26, 2011
Olympic College’s Automotive Technology Program is still running on all cylinders. On Thursday, May 26, 2011, the Automotive Technology program will host a celebration to thank the community for their continued support over the years.
Come join the fun! The event will be held 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. May 26, 2011 at Olympic College’s Automotive Center. The Automotive Service Center is located at 1600 Warren Avenue in Bremerton across from Olympic College’s campus.
Automotive Technology at Olympic College is the only nationally certified master training program in Kitsap and Mason counties. In addition to top-notch instruction and training, the program offers automotive services to the public at the fully equipped Automotive Service Center. Student volunteer technicians (under the expert guidance of the Automotive Program’s faculty members) offer many of the same services as other shops in the area.
The Automotive Service Center will continue to serve customers until the shop closes at the end of Spring 2012 due to state budget cuts. The Automotive Technology Program will be open for business until then, with current students finishing classes in the next 2011-2012 academic year (Summer 2011, Fall 2011, Winter 2012, and Spring 2012 quarters). The entire team at the Automotive Service Center and Automotive Technology Program will continue to serve customers and train students until the end of the Spring 2012.
