Olympic College celebrates veteran and active duty military personnel on May 17, 2012

On May 17, 2012, Olympic College will pay tribute to the men and women of the armed forces and celebrate the first anniversary of the Veteran and Military Support Center (VSMC). The community is invited to join the celebration which will feature an open mic session as well as an open house at the VMSC. 

The event starts at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 17, 2012 by the clock tower near the Haselwood Library on the Bremerton campus. This event is followed by a hotdog lunch which is free for veterans and active duty military, and $5 for the general public.

Olympic College serves a community that has a large population of veteran and military personnel. OC has been consistently rated as a military-friendly college. The college’s Veteran and Military Support Center has consistently earned positive reviews by the military community as friendly and supportive center.
