Olympic College ranked as one of the fastest growing public two-year colleges in its class
Olympic College has been recognized as the 4th fastest growing community college in the state for its enrollment size (5,000 to 10,000 students) by Community College Weekly. It has also been ranked the 43rd fastest growing public two-year college nationwide in the same enrollment category.
The ranking appeared in the Nov. 2011 issue of Community College Weekly’s “Top 50 Fastest-Growing Public Two-Year Colleges.” Olympic College is one of nine community colleges of the same enrollment size in Washington listed in the rankings report. There are 34 community and technical colleges in Washington and more than 1,105 nationwide which were evaluated for the ranking recognition.
Community College Weekly based their rankings on enrollment changes between Fall 2009 and Fall 2010 gathered from a survey from the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS). A total of 6,010 Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) students were enrolled at Olympic College during Fall 2010.
