Running Start Information Night at Olympic College in Bremerton March 15, 2012
Olympic College will host the Running Start Information Night from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 15, 2012 at Olympic College’s Bremer Student Center on the Bremerton Campus. The event is open to all high school students and their parents/guardians.
Running Start students can earn up to two years of college credit tuition-free while they finish high school at the same time. A full-time Running Start student can save over $3,000 a year by attending Olympic College. Highly motivated students of this program can transfer their credits earned at OC towards a bachelor’s degree or gain skills to prepare them for the workforce.
To be eligible for Running Start, a student must be a high school junior or senior by Fall Quarter 2012, have a cumulative 2.5 GPA or above in high school, and demonstrate college-level proficiency in the Accuplacer test. Prospective students may be enrolled in public school, private school, or home school (please ask a Running Start representative for certain terms and conditions that apply).
Application and information packets will be available at the Running Start Information Night. May 1, 2012 is the priority deadline for Fall Quarter 2012 Running Start applications.
